Mumbai, Sep 22 (PTI) Textile firm Jindal Cotex today got listed at Rs 77 on the National Stock Exchange, with a premium of over two per cent over its issue price of Rs 75.
The company would utilise the proceeds from the IPO for setting up a new facility for manufacturing cotton yarn and for dyeing yarn. It would also invest funds in its two units--Jindal Medicot and Jindal specialty Textiles.
The stock then gathered further momentum and witnessed an intra-day high of Rs 84- a surge of 12.53 per cent and over 27.53 lakh shares exchanged hands on the NSE.
Meanwhile, on the Bombay Stock Exchange, the stock got listed at Rs 75 and rose to touch its day's high of Rs 84.20, while over 23.31 lakh shares got traded in the first few minutes of its listing.
