The rupee rose on Tuesday as the dollar's drop against other regional currencies and majors supported sentiment, but mixed Asian stocks kept banks wary.
By 9:34 a.m. (0404 GMT), the partially convertible rupee was at 46.17/18 per dollar, 0.1 percent stronger than its previous close of 46.20/21. On Monday, it had hit 46.0 during trade, its strongest since Oct. 20.
